Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar – The Paradise on Earth

Arrive in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir.
Transfer to a houseboat or hotel for check-in.
Enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, admiring the floating gardens and houseboats.
Visit Mughal Gardens – Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi.
Explore the historic Shankaracharya Temple for a panoramic view of the city.
Stroll through the local markets to shop for Kashmiri handicrafts, dry fruits, and Pashmina shawls.
Overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 2: Excursion to Gulmarg – Winter Wonderland

After breakfast, leave for Gulmarg (1.5-2 hours drive).
Enjoy the scenic drive through picturesque meadows and pine forests.
Take the Gondola ride (Asia’s highest cable car) to Apharwat Peak for breathtaking views.
Indulge in activities like skiing (winter), horse riding, or nature walks.
Visit the Maharani Temple and St. Mary’s Church.
Return to Srinagar in the evening.

Day 3: Visit Pahalgam & Departure

Early morning drive to Pahalgam, also known as the Valley of Shepherds.

We always stay at here when in town. The location is great, staff is wonderful and we love the overall feel. Beautiful view from the here.

It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
